The Computed Tomography Scan (CT Scan) is a diagnostic imaging
procedure that utilizes X-ray and computer technology to produce detailed cross-
sectional images of the human body. This examination often triggers anxiety
among patients due to limited knowledge about the procedure, radiation
exposure, and potential results. High anxiety levels can affect both the patient’s
comfort and the examination process. Objective: This study aims to determine the
relationship between patients’ level of knowledge and their level of anxiety during
CT Scan examinations at the Radiology Department of RUMKIT TK II Prof. Dr.
J.A. Latumeten. Method: This research employed a quantitative design with a
cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling
involving 30 patients who underwent CT Scan examinations. Data were collected
through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The
results showed no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the
level of anxiety among patients during CT Scan examinations (significance value
0.674 > 0.05). Conclusion: The level of patient knowledge does not have a
significant relationship with anxiety levels during CT Scan examinations. Other
factors such as previous experience, health condition, and environmental support
may also contribute to patients’ anxiety levels
