of ossa cruris fracture is one of the lower extremity injuries that
often occur due to trauma such as accidents and falls. Ossa cruris radiographic
examination plays an important role in establishing a fast and accurate diagnosis. The
purpose of this study is to determine the management of ossa cruris radiographic
examination in closed fracture cases and safe and optimal ossa cruris radiographic
examination procedures in accordance with the condition of closed fracture patients at the
Radiology Installation of Tk II Hospital Prof. dr. J. A. Latumeten Ambon. The method
used was qualitative descriptive with a case study approach, using a single sample of
patients with ossa cruris fracture cases. Data is collected through observation, interviews,
and documentation, then analyzed and processed through the stages of data reduction,
data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study showed that ossa cruris
radiographic examination in closed fracture cases was carried out without special
preparation, using x-ray aircraft, image receivers, computer Digital Radiography (DR)
and printers. The examination follows procedures ranging from verification of the
patient's identity, patient position, object position, collimation arrangement, to exposure
using Anterior Posterior (AP) and Lateral standard projections. AP and Lateral
projections have proven sufficient to establish a diagnosis of closed fractures. The
radiograph results showed segmental fractures of the 1/3 middle diaphysis of the tibia
and fibula sinistra. The conclusion of the study results showed that the management of
ossa cruris radiographic examination in closed fracture cases using AP and Lateral
projections has been carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures and is
able to provide optimal diagnostic picture results.
